Course Scope & Content
Each course is approximately 3 hours and content includes:
- Introduction to Liturgy & Ministry
- Structure of the Mass
- Ministries and the Mass
- Specific formation & training for each ministry

If you would like your training recognised by the Diocese, please forward your certificate of completion to Liturgy and Ministry Support Officer Anthony Rewak at [email protected] – your training will be recognised, and will be listed within your volunteer record.
If you have yet to be Commissioned as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, but have yet to attend Diocesan Training, please know that the Lay Ministers of Communion Course, upon completion, will be recognised as sufficient formation upon submission of your certificate*.
*Parish Priest/ Administrator Approval via a signed Minister Engagement Form (MEF) is also a requirement prior to Commissioning new Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.
