Pilgrims of Hope Jubilee

Penrose Park Welcomes Pilgrims for Jubilee Year Celebrations

January 13, 2025

The community at Penrose Park’s Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy warmly invites pilgrims to join in celebrating the Jubilee Year, officially inaugurated on Sunday, January 12th, 2025. The 11 a.m. Mass, led by Bishop Brian Mascord of Wollongong, marked the beginning of this extraordinary year of grace and renewal. The shrine has been honoured as one of six designated pilgrimage sites for the Jubilee.

Nestled in the peaceful countryside, Penrose Park now stands as a beacon for pilgrims seeking spiritual growth. During this holy year, visitors to the shrine can obtain a Plenary Indulgence by fulfilling the traditional conditions: participating in Confession, attending Mass with Holy Communion, praying for the intentions of the Holy Father, and spending time in prayer at the shrine.

With a vibrant schedule of events planned, Penrose Park invites all to join in this sacred journey. Updates on activities and celebrations will be shared on the shrine’s website and social media.

Whether you’re embarking on a pilgrimage or seeking a place of peace and prayer, Penrose Park offers a unique opportunity to experience the grace of the Jubilee Year.
